The youth ministry at Ustick Baptist Church (Blaze) aims to be:
A corner for teenagers – UBC wants to be a place where students can identify as “their place, their hang out, their home away from home.” It’s important for everyone to have a place to find refuge from the world and encouragement from the Word of God.
A community for teenagers – Let’s be honest, people of all ages need like-minded friends to hang out with and help us along the way in our walk with God, especially teenagers. Blaze seeks to provide teenagers with just such a community.
A church for teenagers – Ustick Baptist is a church for teenagers. We put emphasis on worshiping the Lord, serving our brothers and sisters, reaching out to the lost, growing in discipleship, and practicing true fellowship.
Our philosophy of ministry resembles the Apostle Paul’s in 1 Thessalonians 2:8, “Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” The youth ministry at Ustick Baptist Church wants to do the same thing. We don’t want to be a group that simply meets together and then forgets about each other or God the moment we leave. Instead, we’re striving to be a family that loves God and serves together.
