“Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised…”
Psalm 48:1
Dear Church Family,
I would like to use this space this month to highlight some ways that God is blessing us as a church family and for which we all can bless His glorious name!
One is for the High School Seniors “graduating” from our youth ministry. There are some 16 students who move on into our young adult ministry but just as importantly move on into a new season of service and ministry for the Lord, having been rooted and grounded through the help of Pastor Cory, some great youth leaders and peers who love Jesus! We celebrate with these wonderful young adults!
Another praise is that this past Mother’s Day was the 4th year anniversary of our being in our new church facilities for ministry! How we need to rejoice in God’s provision of such an awesome place to meet for worship, Biblical teaching and fellowship! As I look back on what the Lord has done in this provision I can’t help but think of the saints who have gone before and laid a foundation for us to be where we are today! Their vision, sacrifice and labors for the Lord are reflected in every window and brick and pew of this building! While we know the church is not a building, but the people of God who use the building, we still rejoice in such a great place to gather!
Certainly we also give praise to our Lord for another school year where our ministries have flourished, grown and borne fruit for Christ and His Kingdom. Specifically we have seen growth from our AWANA ministry, to Sunday School classes, to youth ministry, to Sunday morning worship! Again, “great is the Lord and greatly to be praised”!
So now as we move into the summer months we have much to celebrate! We also have an opportunity to see the ministry “flourish” this summer with Vacation Bible School, youth camps and continued worship! I look forward to the fall to celebrate what God did in the summer!
On a final note, I also celebrate the team of men who have gone to Belize to serve the Lord through our connection with Pastor Rocke and Lake Independence Baptist Church. I am so thrilled that our church continues to reach out to the world for Christ! Missions is not an “add-on” here but a commitment we make at every turn! Please pray for the team that is serving there now, for others to go again at another time and for all of us to be a people committed to the Great Commission!
May the Lord grant you a glorious summer of serving Him!
Serving with you,
