Junior and Senior High Youth Ministries

Our Youth Ministry goals and objectives are three fold:

  1. To know - For young people to know Him and enter into a relationship and walk with Him.
    (I Peter 1:18-25)
  2. To Grow - For young people to grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
    (I Peter 2:2)
  3. To Show - For young people to show the character of Christ in their lives.
    (I Peter 2:9)

Meeting times:

  • Sunday mornings, 9:50a to 10:50a
  • Wednesday nights, 7p to 9p

We are blessed with a dedicated Youth Staff, committed to the Lord and to our young people. To learn more about our Youth Ministry, please contact Pastor Rich Rutledge.

We’ve just returned from our Junior High White Water Camp and what a great time we had. There were 32 of us tent camping at the Spring Bar campground on the Salmon River. For many of the youth it was their first time to sleep in a tent! Needless to say the adventure and experience bonded our team together. Our spiritual focus was centered on growing our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, taking that next step of faith. We focused in on Hebrews 12:1 and 2 and even slipped in a devotion on the floating axe head from II Kings; a special thanks to Jonathan Bertsch for that one!

And it was just last month that the Senior High went on the Gold Run Retreat in northern Idaho. The group of 50 were blessed as we were challenged by Romans 8:28 with an in depth study of the life of Joseph. We looked into sibling relationships, temptation, staying the course and forgiveness. The presence of God was so very evident. Two young people received Christ as Savior and we were all drawn closer to the Lord.

Our church is blessed by so many terrific young people! The Youth Staff are just as terrific! Without them none of this would happen. They are so very dedicated and demonstrate the spirit of Christ in all that they do. Words are not enough to express how grateful and blessed I am to serve along side such Christ-like believers. To God be the glory!

True U: Is The Bible Reliable?

Winter Camps—that’s what been happening for both Junior High and Senior High.

In January for Jr. High it was “Meltdown Camp” where God spoke to our hearts about our devotion and love for Him. One highlight was from the book of Daniel where Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego would not worship the golden image. And how they clearly stated to Nebuchadnezzar they would not! And how that relates to our lives in that we too need to be most clear about our devotion to our God and clearly stand for Him, not waiting to see how we might wiggle out of things to save our pride. As we all have Nebuchadnezzar’s in our lives trying to get us to separate from our God and follow the world’s ways. It was a great camp with a total of 37 people in attendance. Praise God!
