Our newest missionary Robyn Bailey

December 9, 2008

Dear Church Family and Friends,
For the last two years I have been a student and intern at Ecola Bible School in Cannon Beach Oregon. I completed a one year program with a second year internship.

During my student year I learned a lot about God’s grace and really made my faith my own. This last year, my intern year, God has been teaching me more and more how to surrender my life to Him. In this I mean everything, my desires, my emotions, my opinions, my will; He is transforming me into what He wants me to be and changing my desires to those that are of Him.

God has placed in my heart the desire to serve Him by going out and serving others. The opportunity has arisen for me to do just that. I have applied and have been accepted to spend next year (Jan 4, 2009 – Nov. 30, 2009) traveling around the world with 53 others going to a different country each month and serving Him in those places. This program is through Adventures in Missions and is called the World Race. We will be working with missionaries who are already established in each place, building houses, working in schools and orphanages and doing whatever is needed. There are so many people out there that need to hear the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of the best ways to share it is by letting Him shine through us by loving them and showing them we care not only about their spiritual needs but about their physical and emotional needs as well.

I am so incredibly thankful for this opportunity that God has placed before me. I would be greatly blessed if you could partner in ministry with me this next year. I’m going to need a lot of prayer and financial support. I must raise $1455.00 for each month I stay to cover travel and living expenses for this World Race Mission. Before I go on the trip I need to have 50% of the funds in place so I need to have $7,290 (after what’s come in so far) and the other 50% in pledges. For the last 50%, if ten people gave $50 a month and twenty people gave $25 a month for eight months that’s all it would take. A number of you may be in a position to financially contribute to my support. I know I can trust Him to provide all that’s needed for this great adventure. Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that through you. If you are interested in giving financially the info to do so will be at the bottom of the page.

I am very excited about representing everyone at Ustick Baptist church in some of the darkest parts of this earth and how God is going to use me and teach me through my experience. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve but to you as well. My desire is to go as your representative of Jesus Christ. I hope you will prayerfully consider being part of this ministry. Thank you so much!

Blessings,

Robyn Bailey
